In the past, the wheel hub bearings in saloon car are mostly two sets of single row tapered roller bearing or ball bearing. With the technical development, the saloon car wheel hub units are widely used in the saloon car. The using range of wheel hub bearing units and application amount are both growing. Presently, the third generation of wheel hub bearing units has been developed.
The first generation consists of double row angular contact bearing.
The second generation, there is a flange on the outer raceway to fix the bearing. So the user can simply set the bearing on the hub and fix it with nut, which makes the maintenance of car easier.
The third generation of wheel hub bearing units adopts bearing units and anti-lock brake(or braking)system ABS. There is inner flange and outer flange in the design of hub units. The inner bearing is fixed on the drive shaft by bolt and the outer flange assemble the whole bearing
