Timken, the global leader of bearing and power transmission products, announced its acquisition of Aurora bearing company. Aurora manufactures rod end bearings and spherical bearings, serving a wide range of industries including aviation, racing, off road equipment and packaging machinery.

"The acquisition of aurora will further expand our product range, consolidate our leading position in the global engineering bearing industry and give us better customer service capabilities in the field of bearings," said Christopher Kauflin, executive vice president and group president of Timken. "Aurora's product line and service market is an effective complement to our existing business."

Aurora is a private enterprise founded in 1971, with about 220 employees. Its headquarters and manufacturing and R & D base are located in Montgomery, Illinois, USA. This acquisition is in line with Timken's development strategy, which focuses on improving the leading position in the field of Engineering bearings and expanding its business scope to surrounding products and markets.
