Bearings produced in Westernization Movement

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a group of Chinese national industries were born in the Westernization Movement. The bearings of modern significance were produced in the factories of Westernization Movement. In December 2002, a Chinese bearing technology delegation visited Europe and found a set of bearings of Qing Dynasty in SKF Bearing exhibition hall in Sweden. This is a set of cylindrical roller bearing. The bearing outer ring, cage and roller are all the same as modern bearings.

From 1937 to 1945, more than ten workshops including qinfuxing Hardware Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jinchang iron factory, Rongtai new machine factory, qinfuxing machine factory, Jinxing iron factory, yuanxingchang machine factory and Jincheng Machine Factory began to manufacture bearings, thus laying the foundation for the production of Shanghai National bearings. At that time, the bearings produced by various manufacturers had brands, such as the "Earth" brand bearings produced by jinxingtie factory, the "YSC" brand bearings produced by yuanxingchang machine factory, the "elephant" brand bearings produced by rongtaixieji hardware factory, and the SRF bearings produced by qinfuxing machine factory. At that time, the bearings produced in Shanghai were mainly 203, 204, 1204, 1205 and more than a dozen types, which were sold to Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, Hebei, Tianjin and other places, and were used for supporting gin, tobacco machine, textile machine spider, motorcycle lamp, etc.

Qin Furong, born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. In 1926, taifuxing Hardware Co., Ltd. (now Shanghai rolling bearing factory) was established at No. 49, yueguili, Mantingfang, to purchase from foreign firms in Japan and sell imported bearings. Later, Yuchang hardware number was opened. In 1929, workshop was opened to repair used bearings. In 1937, qinfuxing hardware successfully trial produced the first set of domestic "1308" double row self-aligning ball bearing, the product brand is SRF.

In 1943, qinfurong opened qinfuxing metal iron factory in Shanghai.

So far, qinfurong specializes in the production and distribution of bearing products in "two factories and two stores",

with the trademark of "Shuangma".

Establishment of bearing production base in Wafangdian

In March 1938, Japan built a bearing factory in Wafangdian, which was put into operation in January 1940. It was named "Manzhou Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd." and operated by Toyo Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. [NTN, founded in 1918, renamed "Toyo Bearing Manufacturing Co., Ltd." in 1937].

With the gradual development of bearing manufacturing industry in Shanghai and Wafangdian, bearing manufacturing industry in Shenyang, Changzhi and other regions is also starting and developing. In 1945, Shenyang Yufeng iron factory (established in 1942) changed its name to China ball factory, and began to imitate 3K brand bearings. In 1945, Changzhi machinery factory was established in Changzhi, Shanxi Province, and began to produce carriage bearings. In 1948, Shenyang Zhonghua ball bearing factory was renamed Shenyang Sankai bearing factory.
